Review: Cinderella Man, Batman Begins, Kiki's Delivery Service

So I saw Cinderella Man tonight. Good movie. It was more than 2 hours long but didn't feel it. There are no surprising twists in the movie, but it is still suspenseful. It is one of those movies that isnt about winning but about fighting to survive, so you aren't sure if he is going to win each fight or not. I really enjoyed it.

So I saw Batman Begins on Wednesday. That was damn good! Christian Bale is a fuckin badass. He had to work doubly hard to get the role because he had lost 60 lbs for The Machinist (great movie) and then had to gain it all back in muscle in just a matter of months. Because Batman has no supernatural powers, he has to just be fuckin scary. I think the director and Bale did a kick ass job. And the girl is cute. Really cute.

On Thursday I brought in Kiki's delivery Service (Hayao Miyazaki) for the kids. They really liked it. I enjoy that movie and if you liked Princess Mononoke, you probably will to. It's lighter and more for kids, but enjoyable. If you want to see a Miyazaki movie in the theatre, go for Howl's Moving Castle. That was really good. Miyazaki's worlds are just so beautiful. That's all.
